Stretch drinking with her paw

We have this craaaaazy cat. Sometimes she will just do back flips for the heck of it. She lies on the dining room table, as if she's queen of the castle, and then she'll randomly get up, walk over to a water glass and start dipping in her paw, to drink water. She's utterly 'human'.

Hope, that is a fabulous photograph! Did you take that?

We had a cat who only drank out of drinking glasses. No bowl was suitable... no way. Now we have a cat who prefers to drink out of dirty dishes in the sink. From the sublime to the ridiculous, as they say.

But of course, not. But it looks JUST like our cat and that's exactly what she does with her paw. She cracks me up. God I'm getting old I NEVER thought a cat would "crack me up". Just goes to show how simple pleasures can be great pleasures. Where are you?

I'm here...just swamped with all the end-of-the-year stuff at school...too much to do, not enough time. Alexandra comes home today though...yippee! I can't wait to have her humor and positive energy in the house.

Hopie... cracking up at something your cat does does not mean you are getting older... you're just getting wiser (IMHO). Our cats and dogs provide us with amusement on a daily basis. That said, they also provide us with anger too... well, only our Labrador does that.

I know the feeling! Elisabet isn't coming home until July (maybe) and I'm 'stuck' with Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum who do nothing but FIGHT. I'm so tired of it. It's 24/7. I'm beginning to wonder if they'll ever like each other. Jordi, it's like having a fourth child. But hey, this needs to go under my Daily Drags category.

Thanks Betsy, I thought I was cracking up? But you've reminded me that I shouldn't minimalize the importance of animals (pets) in our lives. They do offer a lot of humor and unconditional love (more than I can say for my teenagers right now!)
