Wolf Kahn is an artist I've always liked. He does landscapes in pastels and oils. But his landscapes are somewhat abstract and that's what I like. He also uses funky colors (a bit like Milton Avery), like, a lime green for water, and pink for sky. A friend (an artist) pointed out that really he focuses, much of the time, on shapes (see image).

I've always wanted to own one but they are gazillions. This is why I posted it on the blog so I could 'share' it with peeps.
Haven't though about Wolf Kahn in eons. I didn't even know he was still around. He is kind of Milton Avery-esque... maybe a little less playful than Avery (whom I LOVE... the Boston MFA has a lot of nice Avery paintings). Thanks for bringing this guy back into my brain, Hopie!
