Fish Tanks

Dailure:  Because I wake up so early in the morning (4:30) the only sounds in the house are those of the fishtanks (four), 'gurgling', which can be relaxing if I don't think about the laboratory effect.

'Word Cloud'

Daniel Pink's website has this 'word cloud', words taken from President Obama's speech.  I thought it was pretty clever.

Barach Obama is our 44th President!!!!!

Dailure: Watching the inauguration, all day, on CNN. I watched the entire program, at the University of Miami, student center on an huge TV, with 100s of students and faculty. It was so quiet when Obama gave his speech, very somber, moving but serious. It was compared to the speech given by FDR. There were miles (2) of people outside the capital, in Washington D.C. A sea of people, filled with hope of seeing the first African American president, sworn in as the forty-fourth president of the United States of America. It was amazing to see all those faces, in the frigid cold, with tears streaming down their cheeks. I wanted to be there with them.

Rishi Tea

My friend, Kate, knows about this wonderful tea, called Rishi tea.  Silly me for thinking everyone drinks coffee.

Sun, sand and no humidity

I know it's not nice to gloat but I will because it's not about me.  This is about why living in Miami, in November through April is wonderful; sun, sand, surf and no humidity.  It's been in the 70's and beautiful!

Bosc pear

Went to the local farm store, Norman Brothers and bought five Bosc pears.  They were ripe (but still kind of firm) and sweet.  Perfect!

Emotional Signage

Daniel Pink has a website which includes a category called 'Emotional Signage'.  I was following a waste truck last month with this sign on the back.
